Brackett Green Limited was founded in 1899 and was the original designer of all forms of screening equipment. We design, manufacture, install and commission equipment such as Double Entry Drum Screens, Central Flow Band Screens, CF200, Single Entry Cup Screens, Brush Screens, Rotary Screens, Continuous Chain Raked Bar Screens, Coarse Bar Screens, Isolating Stop Gates and Brieden Automatic backflush filters.  In total the Company has approximately 9,000 installations in some 85 countries worldwide.

Based at Colchester, England, Brackett Green Limited specialises in the design and manufacture of a wide range of equipment which is used on raw water intakes for Power, Desalination, Petrochemical and Industrial Plants. In addition our screen designs are applied to waste water treatment plants for the coarse and fine screening of domestic and industrial wastewater.

A specialty of the company is the Drum Screen which was originally installed by the British Power Authority for Nuclear and Thermal Power Plants and which practice has now spread to many countries worldwide. A single Drum Screen can pass large unit flows with minimum risk of operational and maintenance problems.

Products may be combined to make up complete water intakes include stopgates, mechanically raked bar screens, traveling band screens and rotary cup and drum screens. In addition a specially adapted dual flow band screen, known as the dual flow conversion screen, can be retrofitted into existing power station intakes to replace conventional straight through flow traveling screens to increase the power plant’s operating efficiency, where such designs were providing operating and maintenance problems.
