Greater Belfast Waste Water Treatment Works, Northern Ireland
Brackett Green has recently secured a prestigious order for fourteen CF200™ Band Screens from Northern Ireland's Water Service.

The screens, which will be designed and manufactured at the company's Colchester factory in England, are to be installed at five of Greater Belfast's Waste Water Treatment Works.

The sites, Newtownbreda, New Holland, Dunmurry, Upper Falls and Whitehouse are all the subject of an extensive refurbishment programme that has been instigated as a result of an ongoing initiative by Water Service to provide an improved and plentiful water supply and waste treatment service.

Newtownbreda, New Holland and Upper Falls will all be fitted with two CF200™ Band Screens each, whilst Dunmurry, adjacent to the River Lagan, and within a largely residential area, will receive three screens. Whitehouse, serving the second largest population of the five sites will have four CF200™ Band Screens, each capable of handling a maximum flow of 1000 litres/per second.

The CF200™ Band Screen design has quickly established itself as a preferred screening medium with water authorities since its launch in 1991. The screen features a patented design of moulded, polyurethane 'mesh' panel with tapered holes, that has proved an effective way of eliminating the problems of both blocked screen panels and 'carried-over' debris.
