The French/German consortium tasked with constructing the Okiluoto Nuclear Power Station in Finland have selected Brackett Green as their screen supplier for this very high profile project. Brackett Green will supply the Raking Screens, Band Screens and all the Intake Gates for isolation of the intake chambers.

The site presented some interesting problems in regard to the potential of Frazzle Ice forming on the intake screens. Brackett Green, working closely with Siemens, have designed a unique system of screen heating to overcome this problem ensuring that essential cooling water is always available.

Brackett Green have been awarded the Intake Screens for the last three Nuclear Power Plants built; these were in China, Taiwan and now Finland.
