Brackett Green Secures order for Ling Ao Phase II
Following on from the successful completion of Phase I, Brackett Green has secured the order for Lot 7 of this new 2000Mw Nuclear Power Station in the Province of GuangDong in China.

Brackett Green will design, build and install 4 very large rotating drum screens, 8 fixed head raking screens, together all the supporting washwater systems, stopgates, controls and cathodic protection equipment.

The sea water intake is capable of filtering 100 tons of seawater every second and is amongst some of the largest seawater intakes in the world.

Brackett Green maintains it’s 100% record on all the Nuclear Power Plants it has tendered for in the last 10 years.

Brackett Greens Colchester manufacturing base has secured the order for the latest Nuclear Power Plant to be built in Guangdong Province, China. This success for Ling Ao II follows on from the Olikulouto plant in Finland, the Lungmen Plant in Taiwan and Phase I of the Ling Ao project. Nuclear Power Plants are a very important area for Brackett Greens activities and it is expected that other plants in china will follow on from the Ling Ao II project.

Europe’s latest Nuclear Power Plant selects Brackett Green
The French/German consortium tasked with constructing the Okiluoto Nuclear Power Station in Finland have selected Brackett Green as their screen supplier for this very high profile project. Brackett Green will supply the Raking Screens, Band Screens and all the Intake Gates for isolation of the intake chambers.

LNG Plants in Norway continue to select Brackett Green Screens
The latest Norwegian LNG Terminal being constructed by Kv æ rner for Norske Hydro called the Ormen Lange (Long Snake) project have selected Brackett Green as their screen supplier. Brackett Greens reference list of similar cooling water intakes in Norway extends to the plants at Ormen Lange, Hammerfest, Karstoe and Mongstadt.

The World’s Largest Sewage Storm Screens Barhale, the UK based contractor, working for the Network North Alliance on behalf of Thames Water, are well on the way to completing the World’s largest storm water screens at the Abbey Mills site in East London. Designed and built by Brackett Green, three double entry drum screens will have a total capacity of 42m ³ /Sec (42,000 L/Second) through 5mm mesh.
